'Times of Bedra', a Kannada Weekly is edited and published by Jaison Soares from Taccode. Jaison Taccode, a Post-Graduate in Mass Communications & Journalism, has more than 10 years of working experience in various media establishments. Being a youth leader, he has served as president of Mangalore Diocesan ICYM & YCS.
'The main objective of this weekly would be to bring awareness among people – which is the need of the hour. We believe to live in a democratic nation, and still tend to be dumb against the vicious aspects rampant in the society' he says.
Jaison started his career as graphic designer, later joined Vijaya Karnataka Mangalore Edition as paginator. From the beginning of his career, his work was evident for the special stories on social cause. He has also worked for Mithr Weekly, Amcho Yuvak, Daivik Amrith Monthly before shifting himself to Bangalore, where he pursued higher education in Mass Communication & Journalism. Meanwhile he worked with different electronic media firms.
Being also a RTI activist, he is responsible in bringing to light many irragularities at various levels of governance. He was given 'Vishveshvaraiah Award' in 2012 December, at Akhila Bharatha Kannada Patrika Sampadakara Samavesha held at Bangalore.
